Meet Kaitlin Lystad, D.C.
I graduated magna cum laude from Life University in Marietta, GA in 2012 as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Prior to attending Life University I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry with an emphasis in Mathematical Chemistry from Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, MN.
Shortly after graduating from Chiropractic school I moved to Denver, Colorado. While there I associated in a busy Network Spinal Analysis office and later started my own Chiropractic office with my husband. My husband and I have moved to Red Wing, MN where we look forward to living in a small town again and being close to family.
I specialize in Network Spinal Analysis and Pediatric adjusting. I started to learn and practice Network Spinal Analysis during my first year in chiropractic school. I have advanced my education by attending several seminars in both Network Spinal Analysis and in Pediatrics. I am Webster Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, ICPA, and very close to completing my advanced certification in Pediatric through the ICPA.
I have always been interested in a whole body, vitalistic approach to healing. My first experience with chiropractic was when I was still inside my mother’s womb. My mother, while pregnant with me, sought chiropractic care to help with her pregnancy aches and pains. I (and the rest of my family) have experienced chiropractic care our whole lives.
I enjoy hiking, swimming, practicing yoga and creating art. I am also an avid book reader and look forward to playing on the lake and fishing during the summer.
Meet Ryan Lystad, D.C.
I graduated from Life University in Marietta, GA as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Prior to attending Life University I received my Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology from Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, MN. After graduating from Life University I moved to Denver, CO where my wife and I started our own chiropractic office. We moved to the Red Wing, MN area where we can be close to family and can be a part of a small town.
I always was an active child and with that activity comes the bumps and bruises. In high school I played a sport every season, (and if they would have let me I would have played two at once). My true love of sports came when I was introduced to rugby in college. I played collegiate rugby for 4 years with MSUM. Once I was in chiropractic school I had the privilege of playing on the elite men’s team for Life University. In Denver I worked with the Denver Barbarian Rugby Football Club. All of this activity has taught me that at times that body needs help to function at the optimal level.
In the past two years I have been introduced to and ran my first Ultra Running events. (An Ultra Running event is anything over a marathon distance.) I have crewed for events that have lasted anywhere from 12 hours to 6 days.
During my time at Life University and in Denver, CO I was exposed to many different injuries, experienced by others and myself. That exposure taught me how the body reacts and feels after those injuries.
I specialize in hands on approach to adjusting the spine that includes specific techniques such as Diversified, Gonstead, SOT and Thompson techniques. Specialty techniques that I offer are Activator and Cox. Some other tools I have in my doctor bag are Graston Technique, KinesioTape, and Rehab/Prehab exercises. I use Function Movement Screening, FMS, to identify asymmetries and imbalances of potential areas that might become injured.
